Back To School Brain Brew

For your next study session, try this stimulating, caffeine free blend. Sip and feel the brain power flow!

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons Spearmint (Mentha spicata)) leaf
1 Tablespoon Tulsi/Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum) leaf
2 teaspoons Sage (Salvia officinalis) leaf

Directions
Bring 2 cups of water to just under the boil (200 degrees F). Place herbs in a 16 oz mug or jar. Pour hot water over the herbs.

Cover (to keep all those good volatile oils inside).
Let steep 5-20 minutes. The longer you steep, the more good stuff you get out of the herbs. If you prefer a milder spearmint flavor, steep less, or use 1 T instead.

Strain the herbs out using a tea strainer. Press down on the herbs with a spoon to squeeze out every last drop.

Sweeten as desired with honey, maple syrup or sweetener of your choice. Drink 1-2 cups of tea 20-30 minutes before a study session to stimulate the senses and increase blood flow to the brain.
